The RA have a triple whammy of exhibitions based around print this month. Firstly there is an exhibition of etchings and screenprints by Norman Stevens ARA which runs until 25 May in the Tennant Gallery. The Renaissance Impressions in the Sackler Galleries, is a richly rewarding exploration of chiaroscuro woodcuts from the collections of George Baselitz and the Albertina Museum in Vienna. Then, at the end of the month, is the London Original Print Fair, its 29th year at the Royal Academy. With some 50 international exhibitors, the four-day show offers the opportunity to see and buy original prints, from the earliest Renaissance woodcuts to the latest editions by contemporary masters.
The RA are also encouraging people to get involved online by using #printmonth on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
