London Art Book Fair at Whitechapel Gallery


This weekend sees the annual London Art Book Fair (LABF) at the Whitechapel Gallery. “Browse beautiful artists’ books, rare art publications and catalogues from over 80 publishers. Enjoy a packed programme of talks and events, get involved in workshops on print and bookmaking and have your books signed by leading artists and authors.”-LABF


Over the weekend there are a range of great talks, workshops and a performance by Martin Creed on the opening night. All the events listings can be found and booked through the Whitechapel Gallery website.

Highlights include a talk by the excellent author and artist Douglas Coupland, bookbinding workshops with London Centre for Book Arts and the Unbinding the Book project, a showcase of exciting possibilities for book design of the future, presented by self-publishing platform Blurb and creative studio Jotta.

The fair itself features stalls from artists, publishers, galleries, universities and presses from around the world. A list of the years exhibitors and links to their websites can be found here.


Opening Evening Thursday 25 September (6-9pm).

Opening times: Friday 26 September 11am – 9pm.

Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September 11am – 6pm.
